Every year since 2000, the Pantone Color Institute has unveiled a hue that tries to capture the collective mood of the country, influencing what consumers will soon see in home decor, fashion and beauty and product design.  It’s always exciting to see what the new color will be.

Well… Pantone announced color of the year yesterday AND I got a little mention in the LA Times on my thoughts on the gorgeous Vibrant color.  Woo hoo! Check out the article by visiting the following link: Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2019 is ‘life-affirming’ Living Coral

Pantone Color of the Year: Living Coral by EMI Interior Design

Thank you Lamps Plus for a wonderful partnership. I love being your entrusted interior designer. Thank you LA Times for the mention.

This color is not new to us… But we are happy to see it will remain current and possibly timeless.  This is a photo of a recently completed project where we did a Coral ceiling in a hallway that comes off a bathroom where there are hints of coral in the bathroom wallpaper – Kinda cute right?  This client’s home is happy and cheery and it is exactly what this color exudes.    What are your thoughts on the color?
